Lakeway Link starts its RoRo service with first port call at Gdynia and Södertälje

Tomorrow marks the beginning of Lakeway Link's new RoRo service, connecting Gdynia, Poland, and Södertälje, Sweden. After a year and a half of thorough preparations and the establishment of this new Swedish shipping company, Lakeway Link is ready for its first shipment.
A large green and white cargo ship named "Lakeway Express" is docked at a busy industrial shipyard. The ship features the branding "Lakeway Link" along its side. The surrounding area is filled with cranes, containers, and other ships, including a prominent LNG tanker and another large vessel painted orange. The shipyard is active with various industrial structures and equipment visible. Smoke rises from chimneys in the background, indicating industrial activity.

Our vessel, M/S Lakeway Express, will make its first call at the OT terminal in Gdynia on May 21st for loading, before setting sail towards Södertälje, arriving on May 22nd. The service will continue with three weekly departures in each direction, with the journey between the two ports taking approximately 22 hours.

“This is a new chapter in Swedish maritime history as Lakeway Link begins its service, establishing a new link for cargo transport across the Baltic Sea. We are proud to launch this service with our own vessel sailing under the Swedish flag. We are humble yet excited about the first port calls and hope this service will grow strong in the market,” says Fredrik Hermansson, CEO of Lakeway Link.
